One of my favourite places to visit every year is Flora Farms in Cabo. They have an on site Animal Adoption, Rescue & Clinical Care Centre that tends to animals they rescue. I fell in love with each & every single animal here, and the amazing team who runs this program really has a deep love for the animals they take in.
Central to their efforts is extending a helping hand to the dedicated staff members who serve as independent animal rescuers. With a shared purpose, they have created adoption events that provide a tangible space for potential adopters to meet these animals. Their commitment goes beyond physical gatherings—and their digital presence on social media platforms amplifies these rescues' stories, reaching a broader audience.
Their aim is to unite these resilient animals with compassionate souls who can offer them the care and love they deserve. Through collaboration and connection, Flora Farms Animal Rescue strives to weave a tapestry of hope and home for every rescue, embracing them into the warm embrace of hearts and households.

Where kids’ connections to food take root. Growing Chefs mission is to connect chefs, kids, and communities to foster systemic change towards healthy, sustainable, just food practices. Kids engage in the entire food cycle—digging in the soil, planting seeds, harvesting vegetables, learning basic cooking skills. They connect with food, and often serve themselves up second helpings of vegetables they used to refuse to eat!
Growing Chefs’ goals include,
Seed impact through food education
Empower kids, chefs, and growers to connect through food
Create opportunities for kids to experience dignity, delight, and belonging
Innovate to uplift our local food sector and dig deep on food justice
Increase accessibility to abundant, nourishing, and culturally-relevant meals
